Support for the Leader and the Systems They Lead

Coaching for production directors, practical structure for their teams, and an experienced advocate for technology decisions.

How We Work Together

  1. 01Talk through the need

Start with your team, church context, current systems, and the decision in front of you.

  2. 02Set a useful scope

Agree on priorities, who needs to be involved, and what the work should produce.

  3. 03Do the work

Coach the leader, review the plan, or train the team in the setting that fits the need.

  4. 04Follow through

Leave with clear next steps and check what is working after the initial decisions or handoff.

AI for churches

Use AI Well. Protect the People You Serve.

I help churches choose useful AI workflows and put clear guardrails around them. That means approved tools, rules for what staff should never upload, human review of public content and decisions, and training people can actually follow. The goal is to save time without exposing pastoral, donor, or children’s information or losing the church’s voice.

About Sam

Built in the Local Church

I connect church vision with the systems and teams needed to carry it out.

Sam Cornwell is a church technology strategist, multisite production consultant, and technical systems leader based in Tampa, Florida. With more than 20 years of experience in church production, audiovisual systems, information technology, livestreaming, and creative communications, he helps churches build reliable systems, develop strong teams, and scale with clarity.

Sam previously served as Central Production & Tech Director at Radiant Church, where he helped build and launch the technical environments for 12+ church locations. He led production and technology strategy across the multisite organization, including audiovisual system design, campus integrations, live production workflows, Dante audio networks, networked control systems, remote support infrastructure, and church information technology using UniFi and Cisco platforms.

His background spans technical direction, media leadership, church communications, video production, stage design, branding, and volunteer development. Before joining Radiant, Sam served churches and ministry organizations including Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and the PennDel Ministry Network. Sam also founded and operated a creative agency providing web design, branding, signage, promotional products, and marketing support.

That combination of technical, creative, and organizational experience allows him to connect church vision with practical systems and sustainable execution. Through Dodec Consulting, Sam advises churches, production directors, and ministry leaders on church technology, audiovisual planning, multisite strategy, system design, integrator and proposal review, production workflows, team structure, and technical leadership.

A central part of Sam’s work is serving as an advocate for the church during technology and production upgrades. He helps leaders define what they actually need, compare proposals, question unnecessary spending, and keep projects tied to the church’s goals and budget. After installation, he works with staff and volunteers on training, documentation, and follow-up so the investment keeps serving the ministry.

He also coaches production leaders and church teams through technical decisions, team development, and the day-to-day challenges of running reliable systems without burning out the people who operate them.
